World Bible Study

If you are a Christian, you probably heard thousands of times in doing the will of God or hear God's call. Many of us are perfectly content to believe that God is obedience that means going to church every Sunday and put a check in the collection plate. However, for most of us, God has great plans, and when you hear your call, you can go further with his faith than he had dreamed.

A personal story

When I started to serve the Lord through teaching and writing for 20 years, I never imagined my work would take me to Southeast Asia. Although I have been traveling before the mission, my call seemed to be the development of techniques to study the Bible to help others learn to spread the word.

Recently, an evangelical pastor from Southeast Asia to contact us through the Word among us website. He invited us to teach pastors, teachers, students and missionaries in your country to study the Bible. Talking About God's call to listen!

The trip has taken our ministry in a new direction. It has long been We hope to be able to extend our ministry beyond U.S. borders. God opened a door for us to teach some simple techniques of Bible study people in Southeast Asia that have limited access to study tools, reference resources, or specific instructions on how the study God's Word.

We have never seen people so eager to learn. Some traveled for miles on foot and by bicycle which could bring back the message to their communities. We hope to return every year to teach at a Bible school which opened in June 2008.

Being called to minister to yourself

Being called to minister not necessarily mean you need to enter the seminary. There are a number of ways in which God can call you to help minister or the spread His Word. It could be as simple as bringing a friend to church or helping in a soup kitchen, or as large as the journey across the world to become a missionary.

Of course, it may be that while you do not feel called to become a missionary, who feels called to help the missionaries they know. There are a couple ways to do this:

1) Grant. "Donate" does not just mean economically, though no doubt that traveling missionaries need some financial assistance. They may need medicines or school supplies that could be provided. They may require a donation of your time, where you can help with organizing things before leaving. Much going on a mission trip, and talking to people who know that they can give you a better idea of how you can help.

2) Pray. Never underestimate the importance of prayer. You can pray, not only for missionaries, but people in those areas you are visiting. Make a note to pray for them every day, or organizing a group prayer for missionaries at her church. Prayer support is invaluable to missionaries, and costs only a few minutes of your time.

Whether called to go everywhere or called to offer vital support to those who do not reject the will of God in their lives. Listen to him, and you may be surprised at where your call and your faith will take.
