I'm back on the team this morning, after a full day of activities with a dentist elbow deep in the mouth, causing a root canal. Good, elbow might not deep, I thought so. First things first, let's look at our memory verse this week. It is found in Acts 6:4 … "But we will give ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word. "At the point in our history we as a nation and Christians, this is more important than ever!

Signs of the times everywhere. I've heard all my life, but I'm starting to notice me, too. I guess it's a sign of growth and maturity? Never thought I would link those words to myself, but things happen.

Since the results of the election, I heard the responses varied from … this is the end of life as we know … people equivalent to our new President-elect for the anti-Christ … and even called him the Messiah … now it is fear and unnecessary! My biggest thing in all this is … God is still on the throne and in control!

This is evident throughout history and shows very well in the book of Daniel, we've been studying on Sunday nights. God can use even the vilest of rulers for their cause. You can also use his people to show its power to a ruler not a believer, too.

For those of you who have lost heart, sent me this verse through Twitter, by Max Lucado other night. It set my mind preoccupied by the facility. It is found in Proverbs 21:1 … "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord as the rivers of water: he made him wherever he goes. "

WOW! We keep our faith in the Lord and He will take care of things??? Well, that was sarcasm. But when we have his eyes and start wondering what to do in extreme circumstances, we must know the truth. Do not lose faith … there is hope … remember our verse this week and give yourself continually to prayer and ministry of the Word! Do not put all their hope in man, will fail and disappoint, put your faith and hope in Him who has never failed!

Please let me know if there is a special prayer I can word on their behalf today!

Scriptures quoted are taken from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
