On Friday, August 31st my neighbor, Jeff and I went to Charlotte for a breakfast at the hotel Weston hear my friend, coach Joe Gibbs talk about his new book, just out of the press: Strategic Plan for Life, co-written by Jerry Jenkins.

I would say there was a very good start drawing. More than 1200 people, to be exact! We sat at the table with Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory. There were several former NFL players and NASCAR also some people. Joe was introduced by his son JD is now the President Joe Gibbs Racing.

Joe always has a great sense of humor and some wonderful stories of his days on the football field.

Thus here's a guy who was a physical education major from San Diego State University. He will be offensive line coach in four major colleges before go to the National Football League. For seventeen years, he served as assistant coach for the St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Diego Chargers before receiving the call to become the new coach of the Washington Redskins.

Despite losing their first five games with the Redskins, Joe went to direct the team of 12 seasons and led them to eight playoff appearances, four NFC titles and three Super Bowl titles.

In 1996, Gibbs was inducted in the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. It was one of the winningest coaches in NFL history at that time with a record of 124 wins and 60 losses and a postseason record of 16 wins and five losses.

If that were not enough, at bedtime (first time) by the Redskins in 1992, Joe focused all their attention to their teams NASCAR racing and now has three titles in Nascar. Driver Bobby Labonte holds one title and Tony Stewart won two championships. And this season is strong with his new driver, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Bush and Joey Logano. Joey is the youngest driver in Sprint Cup history to win a race in just 19 years old.

So it is indeed an honor and a privilege to meet Joe and his wife Pat personally. I met Joe when he was feted young Lake Norman area of life, excision Charlotte area eleven years ago. My wife and I had the honor of chairing the adult leadership committee of this non-profit high school youth organization far – Younglife.org. It is often held our monthly meeting in the house where Joe Gibbs would be walking around with one of the big babies in the shoulder with a cloth burp. JD son of Joe "and his wife Melissa joined the committee and also continue to actively support Young Life.

So Joe has been in this giddy exhausting tour promoting his new book, Strategic Plan for the life of about a month now. His steely determination and focus to remember from their days of training It is apparent that travels the country spreading the word.

How does this book begin? Thanks for asking. It commissioned a study that in essence the question, What are the key issues that lead people to a "successful" life?

He formed an impressive list of Christian men (Josh McDowell, Chuck Colson, Ron Blue and many others) to write about a variety of topics, which is woven together by the personal testimony of Joe. It will also be interviewing for the video all these authors (each committed to do four hours of interviews with Coach Gibbs during the next year). Gibbs believes that this legacy of his work.

The foreword is written correctly by the former coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Tony Dungy's head, who has also won a Super Bowl.

The book is interwoven with many fascinating stories of the careers of Joe and colors abruptly begins with the player's shooting death of Redskins Sean Taylor.

This is a must read for anyone serious about true success. I highly recommend it. However you can’t have the copy that Joe signed for me… unless you name is Dave. Not.

Is it okay for a Christian to read Twilight?

I am a very strong Christian and I have always liked the twilight series. Recently I went on a trip my youth group and people were saying how horrible the message is in the books. I think it'sa pretty good story … So is it something bad to say I am Christian and as a vampire books?

Is not the author of the Twilight series a Christian?
